Paul Marciano was born in a small Moroccan city by the name Debdou. He was born in a family of other four siblings and were brought up in Marseille.

He made his name a name and an impact on the society and the entire world but this didn't come that easily. Just like any other child in France, Paul also attended school. He did not manage to move on with his education for more than a year because he got an accident that left him in a wheelchair. The physicians didn't even think that he would be well again to walk.

It was fortunate for him because, after one and a half years, he miraculously walked again.  He was later unfortunately dis-allowed back to the classroom because of his continued absence. Paul did not give up just like that, he never allowed his circumstances to pull him down.

At the age of seventeen years, he began to work a club in the weekends and as jeans salesman in weekdays. At this time, he started to work together with his brother called Georges.

His brother was a designer of ties, Paul would sell them in Paris. They also designed women blouses. They later opened a store in Bandol.

They registered it as a company and called it MGA, this is an acronym of his siblings and this is Maurice, Georges, and Armand. Time moved on and there was a time they had many stores that manufactured dresses, jeans, and pants.

They formed alliances with another investor but this did not work for it later fell. After resolving their disputes in court, Paul became the CEO of the company.  Paul and Maurice also founded a non-profit organization and called it The Marciano Art Foundation with the purpose of backing up art.

Guess is a brand name associated with the Denim designer clothing made by the Marciano brothers. The brothers are known to have originated from France before they decided to chase their American dream by migrating to America to venture into the fashion design industry. There first breakthrough in the fashion design industry was with their brand of Denim which after one of the famous purchasers, the Bloomingdale ordered their first consignment of jeans. This drove more customers to buy their clothing designs thereby making them famous.

Today the brand Guess is synonymous with the Marciano brothers but in actual fact, it was Paul Marciano, one of their brother who was the moving figure in the business. Born in 1952, Morocco in a town known as Debdou. He came from a Jewish family to which they later migrated to France, Marseilles with the other sibling, Jacqueline, Maurice, Armand, and Georges. Today the company that was initially started by the four brothers with the famous brands like the G by Guess, Marciano are managed by Paul and Maurice. Contrary to many theories, it is actually the two brothers who were the main creators and still manage the brand. Paul and Maurice moved to California in 1981, and they started their first customized clothing line called Guess at a store in Beverley Hills. Their cloth line eventually featured in most famous movies where the characters that wore their Guess cloth were specifically customized for the actors.

The Marciano brothers do draw their inspiration from the California Style that they managed to come across a few years back. They fell for everything that related to the West Coast style of wear. To be able to remain popular, they have managed to reinvent their style and having drawn a lot of inspiration from their Guess line of clothing.

Guess has had its fair share of the many controversies related to the industry. In the clothing industry, there are many trends. One such is the unisex which rocked sometime in the 90's. there are many companies that deal in them and one such company is called GUESS. The company has managed trends on fashions over the years for men and women mainly. It was started by the Marciano brothers. They were Maurice, Georges, Armand and Paul Marciano. Although the first three are the ones who were the original founders of the cloth line, the latter is the name that the company is most associated with. So who is this man of interest, who is Paul Marciano?

Paul Marciano was born in Morocco. They then moved to France where he was raised partially. Later they moved to Israel where their religion was originated. He came from a long ancestry of rabbis or the Jewish teachers of religion. The three brothers were his only siblings and they later had a sister called Jacqueline. HE was unable to pursue his education because he was involved in an accident when a car hit the motorcycle he was riding on. He was placed on a wheelchair and the doctors had said he was in a position not likely to recover. He first worked at a jeans store as a sales man over the weekdays but over the weekends he went to a club where he worked as a coat checker alongside two of his brothers. Maurice worked at the bar while George worked at the front door. Here they learned to design ties which Paul sold. They then designed the blouses for women and they sold well. The three brothers without Paul however formed a clothing company and called GMA. The initials stood for the three names of the brothers that formed it. The name was however changed to GUESS to accommodate him later. He was so skilled in sales that the company's sales were entrusted to him. He was also the advertiser at the time too. He excelled in this and he and his brother Maurice later owned almost 70 percent of the company through the shares they had. He assumed the seat of the chief operating officer which he later resigned from when he was under investigation. He however had the privileges of being the main consultant about the operations. He is married and divorced and remarried. Both of the women are models and each has two kids her current wife however retired from modelling and works as an advocate for the protection of women and children rights.
